Hi, Salina Salazar.
Thank you for landing on my little corner of the design world. Design has been ingrained in my DNA ever since I can remember. Whether it was designing the cover of a children’s book when I was in second grade or posters for the marketing program in high school. Eventually, getting my bachelors in design. Getting to that point though was no easy feat. It took a lot of figuring out what makes me truly happy working in the industry and what I wanted to do with my passion for design.
After working in the corporate landscape for several years, I knew it wasn’t my end goal. I am a firm believer in having a good work life balance, and I wanted to help others do the same thing.
I started Medialuna Studio in twenty twenty all the while going back to school to get my bachelors in graphic design from Washington State University - complemented by a minor in Communication. This process was a pivotal moment in my journey and this combination instilled in me a great understanding of how effective communication can elevate design.
During my senior year at Washington State University, I was the Design lead for our senior project. On top of that, I was also taking care of my three month old son, Emerson. What a time to be alive! During this time I was handling a full time class load, full time design work in my biz, and raising a sweet little boy. My experiences have truly taught me perseverance and gratitude to be living this life.
if I am not working, you can find me traveling internationally, cooking elote outside on the grill, camping, or taking my one year old on a new adventure. Currently my fiance and I are renovating our fifth wheel to one day live in it full time!
My journey through design isn’t just a career—it’s an untamed adventure.
Much love, Salina.
